DANA BRISTOL-SMITH founded Speak for Success in 2001. She is a professional speaker and trainer who has survived stage fright and has a deep desire to help others get past the fears and discomfort of public speaking. Her expertise has helped professionals in senior management, sales, engineering, marketing, human resources, and training. She provides skill building in-house workshops, public seminars, and one-on-one coaching.

Dana works with the private and public sector and has delivered presentations and training to more than 100,000 people since 1992. Some of her clients include Honeywell, Invitrogen, Mission Federal Credit Union, US Navy, and many city and county agencies.

A recent project involved customizing and delivering training for several teams from a national pharmaceutical sales force in Nevada, North Carolina, and Texas. Another course was customized for physicians and other health care providers who educate medical professionals on the treatment of patients with HIV and AIDS.

Dana's business experience includes account management of Fortune 500 clients for C.G. Wright & Associates, a national training and consulting company. Earlier in her career she was responsible for sales management and training for a retail cosmetics company in 40 Broadway Department store accounts in Southern California.

With a dynamic and nurturing facilitation and coaching style, Dana inspires and assists others to greater self-confidence and skill in delivering their presentations. Believing that people learn from acknowledgement of what they do right, Dana provides positive and motivating feedback to the individuals with whom she works.

Dana has been on the faculties of University of California at San Diego Extension, Cal State University San Marcos, and San Diego State University. She is a member of the Society of Human Resource Management and on the Board of Directors of American Society for Training and Development. She is a recipient of the Golden Gavel and Competent Toastmaster awards and is a past Toastmasters chapter president. Dana holds a B.S. in Business Management.
